Logistic controlling - Management - Information system
Initial situations from my experience :
The instruments currently used do not fully take into consideration the effects of decisions made. Early recognition is only possible to a certain extent. This information gap can be closed by the development of a management information system.
Approach:
In conjunction with a customer-oriented controlling, the tasks and content of a logistics controlling are designed in cooperation with the users. For this purpose key figures are developed focussed on the strategic target areas. The second step is the conceptual implementation of the information requirements and functional demands of the users under consideration of the targets in the function modules of the logistics controlling system. A particular focus is also placed in this phase on the in-depth discussion of cause and effect connections between the key figures.
In a third step the modules can be implemented as a prototype if required, so that a concrete technical discussion on the content and function of the systems can be conducted between the providers and the receivers of information. The implementation as a system follows in the fourth step of the project, involving external providers where required. Subsequently, in the fifth step, concrete target specifications are agreed and laid down in cooperation with the specialist departments, and target achievement levels are measured, so that an effective measure controlling and early warning system can be established.
Results:
Results achieved for customers by LANGE CONSULTING by the re-building and improvement of logistics controlling systems:
- Permanent transparency and capability to provide information,
- Structured presentation of the relevant control variables, monetary and non-monetary key figures,
- Documentation on target achievement levels,
- Simply comprehensible representation of the interdependencies between targets and key figures and sustainability supported by a measure controlling.
